Canvas Stretching
Travelled the world and now have a canvas to stretch? At Frame Plus Art we can stretch your canvas from Ireland, Jamaica or Halifax. Purchasing a canvas from other parts of the world means different materials the canvas is painted on. At Frame Plus Art we can stretch different materials with different techniques specific to the canvas material. Canvas stretching is done by cutting a stretcher bar which is then put together similar to a regular wooden frame. Once the frame is formed then the canvas is stretched around the bar and stapled to the back. We offer both your traditional stretcher bar and gallery stretcher bar for your unique look. As well we offer a black edge tape made specific for canvas which adds a unique finish to your canvas.
Plaque Mount/ Perma Plaque
Do you have something you are looking to preserve but want to keep to on budget? Plaque Mount also referred to as Perma Plaque is a great way to protect your work at a reasonable price. Plaque Mounting is done by mounting the artwork onto a sturdy 3/8″ MDF board and heat sealed with a UV, matte laminate providing permanent protection from fingerprints, dirt, moisture and other contaminants. The edges of the plaque are then beveled and finished with your choice of colour. Plaque Mounting is great for corporate recognition gifts or certificates, display pieces for restaurants, retail businesses, offices, public spaces, your home, and many more great places.
Printing / Scanning
Frame Plus Art also offers printing, scanning and copying services . We can print small and large format black/white as well as color, copy as many copies as you need at a reasonable price, print on canvas and much more. Needle Art
We offer a variety of stretching techniques other than canvas. We can also determine whether stretching or not stretching is the best possible option for your work. The items that we suggest to be stretched: needlepoint, embroidery, cross stitch, and fabric panels. At Frame Plus Art we understand the time and process there is to crafting these items that is why we suggest UV glass and complete acid free installation for protecting your work for many years to come.
